Podcast

Podcast seems to be a very professional product
I listened to (and watched) a lecture on stem cell research from a university library, an author speak about her books, a lecture on writing and a professional story reading. What a great way to reach and share with all your patrons. Were you busy on Wednesday and missed programing at the library?, not to worry listen/watch it on a pocast (vodcast) on Friday. Having trouble with a painting technique? Hunt it down on the internet. Teens have got to love this. A library could podcast all their speakers (with their permission) and podcasts could be repeated at intervals to catch new patrons or a younger generation. I had trouble viewing some of them, couldn't open others but I finally saw enough to see that this would be great for the library. I typed in knitting and podcasts and came up with lots of sights to check out again I had trouble opening the actual podcast but saw one that gave a demo on casting on. I will do this search again from home where I know I can view them all.

I think you hit it on the head. This is the way libraries, and other groups, will keep there members up to speed on what is going on.
