I didn't get an answer but received advise to call the churh. What I did do is use the contact button on the church's site and emailed my question directly to them.
Chat Transcript: Is the original St. John the Evangelical Luthern Church on Rodenburg road still there or did it get moved or torn down when thay built the newer church?
[Librarian 14:31:20]: Librarian 'IL2_ADMIN' has joined the session. [Librarian 14:31:59]: Hi, Sue. I'll see if anything is available online about it. [Sue 14:32:12]: okay thanks [Librarian 14:36:54]: Not finding anything on their site or elsewhere so far [Librarian 14:40:48]: You may just have to call the church itself [Librarian 14:40:52]: http://www.stjohnevlutheranchurch.org/
[Sue 14:41:03]: okay thank you
[Sue 14:42:29]: Patron ended chat session.
I have done on line help before I like the idea of it but it still is based on the individual who you get. If you get a customer service orientated person it is a great service.

Internet safety
As a mother and grandmother I want to say the Internet and kids seems a scary mix.
How would they really know who they are communicating with and giving information to when on Internet sites. Anyone can pretend or reinvent themselves on the Internet and it seems that predators always are one of the first to figure out how to misuse or use to there benefit new technologies. I want to keep kids safe. Having said that though the Internet itself is a wonderful tool for learning, sharing, playing and communicating. As always as in all aspects of their lives it is up to the parents and adults in their lives to teach them "safety first". As with their first step, crossing the street, riding a bike and the first day of school we need to show, caution, teach and then free them to do, all the time being there to keep them safe.
The Internet could be a grand adventure and a wonderful place to visit with just a small measure of supervision thrown in.

MySpace
I think MySpace is a perfect opportunity for Libraries to reach teens. Not only can staff promote all aspects of library services that can help and appeal to teens, they can have teens do it which in the long run will do more then anything staff can.
By using all the media choices and keeping it up to date and appealing it it would a great communicating and promoting tool.

Wikis
Amazing! Love all three Wiki sites. I have used Wikipedia numerous times before. But this was my first visit to Wikihow and Wetpaint. I looked up planets on wikipedia, how to freeze corn on Wikihow and Grey's Anatomy on Wetpaint. Although I would not completely trust a wiki I would verify the info gathered another way also. I also did a search on all three typing in Knitting. Wikipedia told what it was, Wikihow told me how to do it and Webpaint had sites to buy it. Don't know how often I would use Webpaint, but I know I will be back at Wikihow and Wikipedia soon
